Founded in 2022 with 44 teams across 20 states, the league has rapidly expanded nationwide, creating opportunities for elite female athletes to compete while strengthening the pathway between collegiate and professional soccer. The USL W League also plays a key role in advancing gender equity and career development throughout the women’s game.
Entering Saturday’s contest, Salmon Bay FC had compiled an impressive 4-1 record and remained undefeated at home. However, the Portland Cherry Bombs FC proved to be a formidable opponent, earning a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Interbay Stadium.
