Seattle, WA — June 29, 2026 — The Seattle Storm capped off a memorable Pride Night with a commanding 105-90 victory over the Atlanta Dream in front of a sold-out crowd at Climate Pledge Arena on Saturday evening.

The win marked Seattle’s second consecutive victory after the team snapped an 11-game losing streak earlier in the week with an impressive 99-88 triumph over the visiting New York Liberty.
The Storm closed their four-game homestand on a high note, combining standout basketball with one of the organization’s most anticipated community celebrations of the season.
Before tipoff, thousands of fans gathered outside the arena for a free Pride Plaza Party featuring face painting, bracelet and sign-making stations, a beer garden, and a pop-up merchandise shop.
The first 8,000 fans through the doors received a Pride bucket hat that many fans wore proudly during the game.

Several local organizations joined the celebration, including Camp Ten Trees, Queer Mountaineers and the Rainbow City Color Guard, which energized fans with a performance set to Lady Gaga hits outside the arena.

At halftime, Seattle drag troupe Purple Lemonade, fronted by Betty Wetter, delivered a vibrant, choreographed performance at center court that brought the crowd to its feet.

This year’s official Pride T-shirt featured artwork by local artist Monyee Chau in collaboration with weareround21, highlighting Seattle’s commitment to celebrating local artists and the LGBTQ+ community.
Storm Dominate Early
Seattle wasted little time taking control of the game, leading 12-0 in the opening minutes. The Storm maintained their momentum throughout the contest, building a lead as large as 17 points in the fourth quarter before securing the 105-90 victory.
The Storm’s rookie class continued its remarkable season with another historic performance.
Flau’jae Johnson led Seattle with 24 points while becoming the first rookie in the WNBA this season—and the fastest rookie guard in Storm franchise history—to record 100 career rebounds.
Fellow rookie Awa Fam added a career-high 21 points and etched her name into the record books as the first rookie and only the third player in WNBA history to score at least 15 points while shooting 65% or better from both the field and three-point range in three consecutive games.
Veteran guard Natisha Hiedeman continued her consistent play, finishing with 20 points for the fifth time this season. She also dished out six assists and was perfect from the free-throw line, converting all six of her attempts.
Jade Melbourne chipped in 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting, including a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond the arc, while adding five assists.
For Atlanta, Rhyne Howard paced the Dream with 27 points, while Angel Reese contributed 17 points and nine rebounds in the loss.
