Odessa, WA — One of the Pacific Northwest’s premier off-road motorcycle events roared back to life this month as riders from across the region gathered for the legendary Desert 100.

First established in 1969 as the Mattawa race, the Desert 100 is the top off-road competition of the year. It attracts over a thousand riders each year who are eager to test their skills and endurance on the tough terrain of eastern Washington.

The multi-day event offers something for riders of all experience levels. Festivities kicked off with a ladies’ beginner ride, followed by family-friendly and Iron Man poker runs. The weekend culminated in the main event: the grueling 100-mile Desert 100 race.

The course itself spans approximately 50 miles per loop, with competitors in the 100-mile classes completing two laps. Riders are permitted to pit for fuel after the first loop, just beyond the halfway mark.

This year, Jaden Dahners of eastern Washington once again proved his dominance, securing his fourth consecutive Desert 100 victory.

His continued success cements his place among the event’s standout competitors and adds another chapter to the race’s storied history.
