SEATTLE, WA – The Seattle Storm fell to the Dallas Wings 103–91 on Wednesday night, marking Seattle’s fifth straight loss and its 21st defeat in 24 games to close the 2026 season at 8–36.
Despite finishing the worst season in the team’s franchise history, fans filled Climate Pledge Arena to capacity for the final home game.
Losses aside, the players had plenty to celebrate as many of the young rookies shined on the court, racking up records and reaching key milestones across the league.
One of those rookies was Flau’jae Johnson whose favorite phrase “No rain, no flowers” became a mantra to both fans and those on the bench.
Wednesday night, the former LSU Tiger showcased why she was a top pick in the 2026 WNBA draft by scoring 21 points, six rebounds and four assists.
With 202 career rebounds, Johnson has now passed Atlanta Dream guard DeWanna Bonner for the third-most rebounds by a rookie guard in WNBA history, and she’s also the first player ever to put up 600+ points, 200+ rebounds, 100+ assists, 50+ steals, and 28+ blocks in a single rookie season.
The milestones kept coming, as Johnson became the first Storm rookie to score 15+ points in seven consecutive games and set the franchise record for most points by a rookie in a season (626), rising into eighth place in WNBA history for most points by a rookie.
