May 18, 2026 — Tukwila, WA — The Seattle Seawolves wasted no time making a statement on Sunday, storming past Anthem RC with a commanding 57-21 victory in front of a spirited home crowd at Starfire Stadium.
After suffering a surprising loss to Anthem earlier this season, the Seawolves entered the rematch focused on redemption and delivered one of their most complete performances of the year.
The victory improves Seattle’s all-time record against Anthem to 3-1 in Major League Rugby competition. The rivalry has quickly become an entertaining matchup since Anthem joined the league, highlighted by several high-scoring contests over the past two seasons.

Sunday’s match also carried special significance for Seattle captain Reikert Hattingh, who celebrated his 100th cap with the club.
Hattingh, the longest-tenured captain in Major League Rugby, was honored before kickoff as teammates and fans recognized his leadership and dedication to the organization.
The evening doubled as the Seawolves’ annual “Salute to Service” night, paying tribute to members of the armed forces and first responders. Players arrived dressed in red, white, and blue as the organization honored those who serve the community both at home and abroad.
Seattle’s attack proved relentless throughout the match, with multiple players contributing to the scoreboard in a balanced offensive effort.
