May 7, 2026 Seattle, WA – The Seattle Storm finalized their 2026 roster ahead of Friday’s regular season home opener against the Golden State Valkyries at Climate Pledge Arena at 7 P.M Pacific time.
14 players made the final cut, showcasing a compelling combination of new talent, returning favorites, and some of the WNBA’s elite veterans. The returning players from last season: Lexie Brown, Zia Cooke, Mackenzie Holmes, Ezi Magbegor, Dominique Malonga, Katie Lou Samuelson, and Jordan Horston — are more than ready to step back onto the court and dominate. Each of these athletes brings their own unique strengths and invaluable experience, ensuring that this team is poised to make a significant impact this season.

The Storm have also added several new players during the free agency and draft, but they are not new to the WNBA.
Veterans Stefanie Dolson joins the team after two seasons with Washington, Natisha Hiedeman previously played with the Minnesota Lynx and Jade Melbourne returns to Seattle after previously being drafted by the Storm in 2022.
In the 2026 WNBA Draft, Seattle selected center Awa Fam with the No. 3 pick, acquired Flau’jae Johnson at No. 8 via trade, and added Taina Mair and Grace VanSlooten later in the draft. Mair was signed to a player development contract on May 5th.
The Storm made the final cuts waiving guard Jaelyn Brown and forward Rennia Davis yesterday.
Ahead of Friday’s regular season opener the team announced a game status report.
The following players will be kept from action against the Valkyries: Ezi Magbegor – Right Foot injury, Katie Lou Samuelson – Right Knee and Taina Mair – Coach’s Decision and Awa Fam – who is still not with the team.
