Seattle, WA — The Seattle Storm have officially announced their highly anticipated Theme Games schedule for the 2026 season, setting the stage for an exciting year of basketball, community celebration, and fan engagement at Climate Pledge Arena.

The Storm will begin their preseason campaign with a matchup against the Portland Fire on Wednesday, April 29 at 7:00 PM PT.

Regular season action follows soon after, with Seattle hosting the Golden State Valkyries for their home opener on Friday, May 8 at 7:00 PM.

Rivalries and New Faces Highlight Early Schedule

The early portion of the season spotlights the league’s newest teams and emerging rivalries. A featured “Rivalry Series” will see Seattle face Portland twice at home on July 4 at 6:00 PM and August 14 at 7:00 PM.

Another expansion team, the Toronto Tempo, will make their Seattle debut on August 26 at 7:00 PM.

Fans can look forward to a diverse lineup of theme nights throughout the season, each offering unique performances, giveaways, and community-focused activations that celebrate the culture, community and the spirit of Seattle.

Several theme nights will include meaningful partnerships and opportunities for fans to give back:

  • Toy Drive (May 24 vs. Washington Mystics): Fans are encouraged to donate toys or contribute financially to benefit Seattle Children’s, with a goal of surpassing last year’s total of 1,009 toys and $11,442 in funds.
  • Black Excellence Night (June 12 vs. Golden State): Celebrating Black culture and resilience ahead of Juneteenth, featuring exclusive merchandise by Seattle-based artist Yolanda Galery.
  • Storm Out Cancer (June 22 vs. Dallas Wings): Proceeds from specialty merchandise will support patient assistance programs through Providence Swedish Cancer Institute.
  • Inclusion Night (August 10 vs. Chicago Sky): Focused on accessibility and inclusion in sports, with support for Special Olympics Washington.
  • Believe in Women Night (September 17 vs. Las Vegas Aces): Honoring community leaders and supporting nonprofits dedicated to empowering women and girls, alongside a special merchandise collection by artist Esmeralda Vasquez.

Fan Giveaways and Exclusive Merchandise
